Chris Haskins started cooking at his mother's stand at a Washington D.C. farmers' market and never really stopped. Twenty years later, after helping build Timber Pizza Company into an award-winning chain and w he opened Humble Pie to serve the food he grew up on around the Chesapeake: Southern comfort cooking with a seriously hot chicken.

In 2021 the founder of Humble Pie passed the fryer to Chris and told him to make it hot. He did. Humble Pie does Nashville hot chicken on a biscuit, honey butter and hot sauce, heat levels from "I'm fine" to "why did I do this." It's a scrappy little slice of the American South, dropped in Berlin, dripping onto a tray. Come hungry.
